Answers to the questions prospective students, first-time flyers, and future pilots ask most often about training, Intro Flights, equipment, timing, and what to expect.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM PARAMOTOR TRAINING?
Horizon Paramotor training is designed to be structured, safety-forward, and approachable. The goal is not to rush you into the air before you are ready. It is to help you understand the process, build confidence on the ground, and progress with real instruction and support. Training includes foundational learning, controlled progression, and guidance that helps students move forward with more clarity.
HOW MUCH DOES TRAINING COST?
Core training for PPG 1 and PPG 2 is $2,500 per person. PPG 3 training is available for $500 for pilots ready to continue progressing beyond the foundational level.
HOW LONG DOES TRAINING TAKE?
Training timeline can vary depending on weather, scheduling, and individual progression. The process is designed to be flexible while still giving students a clear path forward. Horizon Paramotor focuses on helping students progress responsibly rather than forcing a rushed timeline.
DO I NEED ANY EXPERIENCE BEFORE STARTING?
No prior experience is required to start. Many students begin with little to no background in paramotoring. We guide you through the process step by step so you understand what to expect and what comes next.
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK AN INTRO FLIGHT INSTEAD OF TRAINING?
An Intro Flight is a great fit if you are curious about paramotoring but not yet ready to commit to full training. It gives you the chance to experience flight firsthand, ask questions, and get a better sense of the sport before deciding on your next step.
HOW MUCH IS AN INTRO FLIGHT?
Intro Flights are listed at $150 and include a 20-minute tandem educational flight. This experience is designed to help first-time flyers experience paramotoring in a guided, approachable way.
IS PARAMOTORING SAFE?
Paramotoring, like any aviation-based activity, should be approached seriously and responsibly. That is why Horizon Paramotor places such a strong emphasis on safety, structured instruction, and progression. We do not position this as reckless adrenaline. We position it as something that should be learned the right way, with proper training and support.
WHAT HAPPENS IF WEATHER AFFECTS SCHEDULING?
Weather plays an important role in both training and Intro Flights. If conditions are not appropriate, scheduling may need to be adjusted. This is part of keeping the experience safe and responsible. We communicate clearly about expectations and next steps if weather affects timing.
DO I NEED TO BUY EQUIPMENT BEFORE TRAINING?
Not necessarily. In many cases, it is better to begin with training and equipment guidance before making purchasing decisions. This helps prevent unnecessary purchases and gives you a clearer understanding of what setup makes the most sense for your goals and experience level.
CAN YOU HELP ME CHOOSE THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT?
Yes. Horizon Paramotor offers equipment guidance for both new and experienced pilots. We can help you think through motors, wings, helmets, comms, safety gear, and essential accessories so you can make more informed decisions without feeling overwhelmed.
DO YOU OFFER BUNDLE QUOTES FOR TRAINING AND EQUIPMENT?
Yes. We can provide quotes and estimates on full bundle packages for those who want to better understand the complete investment of getting started with training and equipment together.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I AM A GOOD FIT FOR TRAINING?
The best way to start is by reaching out. We may ask for details such as your height, weight, and age so we can better understand fit, answer questions honestly, and guide you toward the best next step. The goal is clarity, not pressure.
